Greens warn voters about christian sect

The Guardian report revealed a number of shocking figures from Dr. Peter Lantz, executive director of the anti-LGBTQ Faith and Freedom Coalition, a "Christian supremacist group".

In March 2011, Dr. Lantz was quoted saying that marriage equality "shouldn't be a subject for debate":

"Marriage equality shouldn't be an issue for debate in the gay or lesbian community at all."

On Monday, Dr. Lantz defended his position on marriage equality, saying that "there's no harm in people [thinking about marriage equality] … but they need to see it as a challenge to the system and a way of challenging that system."

Despite his views on marriage equality, Dr. Lantz's church has never issued a statement or even an official stance on the issue.

It's worth noting that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) has been sued for alleged child abuse by numerous former children of a polygamist family in the Salt Lake Temple—where Dr. Lantz has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In February 2008, when Dr. Lantz's name surfaced in a "troubled cult" article that appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune, Church of Jesus Christ elders were not available to comment on whether Dr. Lantz was a cult member.

According to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Lantz's parents had left the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shortly after his birth and he was estranged from them throughout their marriage:

"The family parted ways in 1976, leaving only four children and no longer members of the Church. In the late 1970s, Joseph and Lois Lantz separated and the remaining three children went on their own to the faith, leaving Joseph at home as the primary breadwinner. In the early 1990s, they separated again and divorced. As of 2011, Dr. Lantz lived in the Salt Lake City suburb of Salt Lake City, where he worked as a pastor of one of Salt Lake City's largest religious agencies. The family maintains ties to church services."

In April 2010, the Salt Lake Tribune reported that Dr. Lantz had been the subject of a child pornography probe during his relationship with an underage woman who was under the age of 18 at the time of his alleged abuse.

Dr. Lantz was fired by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for abusing the underage woman at the same time he was working for a church ministry as well as the LDS church:

"One of the reasons I'm speaking out now is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has "reluctantly" acknowledged his country's successful missile test, state media report

The North Korea government warned Sunday that its latest rocket launch could be an intercontinental ballistic missile that can reach parts of the U.S. mainland, The Associated Press reports.

The latest launch in late late March appeared to have been a re-emergence in North Korea of a failed test two years ago that tested a missile that failed.

If verified, that launch - and the following year's failed test - would mark the longest-standing failure of North Korea's underground test-and-launch program and would be the first nuclear test by the country since 2006.

It also would mark another test failure for North Korea's rockets - but is expected to be the first successful launch on the country's medium-range ballistic missile, which has been banned by the UN.

North Korea conducted two missile launches on Saturday that have shocked Japan, with one that hit off
